The education committee is made up of volunteers who are able and interested in using their time to lead projects or work events that are integral to the mission of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Brainerd Lakes Affiliate. The following sub-committees (in bold) need leadership (about 10 hours a month) to help implement the programs listed underneath. Volunteers are in place to work most events. The Education and Outreach Coordinator will oversee these subcommittees and schedule education meetings four times a year. Sub-committee chairs will need to attend these education meetings as well as work with their volunteers as needed. Volunteers who are able to work events or speak about their breast cancer journey to groups should plan on giving about 10-20 hours a year, depending on your personal level of interest. This includes training to be Komenized and updated on breast health topics.
