The Komen Brainerd Lakes Affiliate has many opportunities for volunteering. The Race for the Cure held each year in conjunction with the Brainerd Fourth of July Celebration sponsored by Community Action needs volunteers both before and on Race Day. The Race Committee always welcomes new people and meets monthly from January through July, plus one additional meeting in June and one fall meeting. In addition, other events during the year may require volunteers for such things as to dispense educational materials at a community fair booth, data entry, support groups, Speakers, Bureau. For $100, you can decorate a portable pottie with your name, your business name or a  friend’s name. These are used a the Race for the Cure.  Awards available for specially designed portable potties!
